Cherith Baldry was born in Lancaster, UK, and studied at Manchester University and St Anne’s College, Oxford. She worked for some years as a teacher, including a spell as lecturer at Fourah Bay College, Sierra Leone. She is now a full-time writer.
Cherith has published a number of children’s novels, under her own name and various pseudonyms. She is currently working as part of the Erin Hunter Warriors series of novels about feral cats, aimed at older children and young adults.
She has also published three adult fantasy novels and a quantity of short fiction in different anthologies and magazines.
She has published short mystery fiction, for example in the anthologies edited by Mike Ashley and published by Robinson. She self-published three mystery novels, Brutal Terminations, Dangerous Deceits and Darkest Actions.
Cherith is widowed with two adult children. She lives in Surrey with one of her sons and two cats. Her interests are travel, reading and music, especially early music.
